Sutton Council and Viridor (the company building the incinerator) are going ahead with this immoral plan in the hope that they will not be challenged in court.
Local resident Shasha Khan is bravely taken them on at the high court.
Shasha has been a long standing member of the campaign and has very kindly come forward as the claimant. Find out more about the legal process below.
Don’t let big business bully us. Join our fight.

The Legal Process So Far
Despite five excellent grounds for a claim, including four that were approved by Mr Justice Collins when he granted permission for the Judicial Review, Mrs. Justice Patterson dismissed the claim.
Unfortunately Shasha has been denied permission to appeal in the Court of Appeal. The only legal option left is to go to the European Court of Human Rights and he is discussing this with his legal team, more updates will follow.
The fight continues and whilst we are encouraged by the massive local support for our fundraising campaign we still need more money. In the event of having any money left over at the end of the process, it will be used to help safeguard Beddington Farmlands and other green spaces from incinerator development in the future.
